Hi it’s me.
Born and raised in Amsterdam, I have my own dog walking service Jeroens Roedel since 2009 which is still my main job, combined with some side hustles to be able to afford new camera’s, lenses and trips… It’s an expensive hobby.
In 2019 I planned a safari trip to Kenya with my sister and because of that I wanted to buy a good camera. After doing some research I ended up with the first Sony A7 mirrorless camera + 28-70 kit lens.
This turned out to be somewhat of a disappointment, 28-70 is a great focal lenght, just not really great for safari, which I knew beforehand, but ignored. Not to mention the poor quality of the kit lens…
But a new hobby started! After the trip I tried to photograph every day to learn more and more, and when I got home I browsed the internet to learn how each and every setting on my camera functions. Passion? Addiction? Probably both.
I’m still learning every day, and trying out new things.
After using many different lenses and doing different kinds of photography I currently like to shoot wildlife and portraits the most.
I hope you like my photos, if you have any questions feel free to contact me through Instagram.
